Last year was very fruitful during which the number of new climbing routes on Karpathos significantly increased and most of the rusty bolts were replaced with titanium ones @lappasclimbingbolts

We wish to thank all of the people who donated money (especially @prorock_climbing , Voytek, Jacek Garnuszewski and Maciej Poręba) which supported our activity and allowed many new routes to be established. Thanks to that at the beginning of the November we organized a camp for 16 volunteers, could equip them and gave accommodation with beautiful view at the sea @meltemi_windsurfing_karpathos

Recently it has been very busy time!

Another sector is developing nearby town Pigadia. Narrow canyon (by locals named HA) is located very close to the main town of the Karpathos Island. At the moment we have prepared 15 routes with quite soft grades - ranged between 5a and 6b. This sector offers climbing in a shady and very charming area, where you can hide during sunny and windy days!

Routes are estabished by:
🔸 Krzysztof Zabłotny @krzysztof.zablotny
🔸 Artur Kraszewski
🔸 Artek Maślana
🔸 Łukasz Pasierbek @prorock_climbing
🔸Stanisaw Barabaś @stanislawbarabas

The new sector named ProRock is ready and waiting for you to climb it.

Just above the Yvonne Canyon new routes have been bolted by the Polish team Aleksandra Przybysz (@przybyszola), Artur Kraszewski, Artek Maslana, Krzysztof Zabłotny (@krzysztof.zablotny), Karol Gładysz (@gladysz586 ), Tadeusz Pielarz and Katarzyna Spich (@juziachips).

8 new routes (graded 6b – 7b) protected by titanium bolts and anchors are waiting to be climbed in the crag with a beautiful view on the gulf.

Sector ProRock is located only 20 min walk from the parking place. You need to follow the goat path through the forest up to the hill (the path is marked with the red dots). After warm up or on the way back you can try 3 nice routes in other still developing sector named Hard Rock.

When you try it, let us know about your impression!!

Huge Thanks to the sponsors:

Winsla' should be a popular climb. Graded 6b with really good quality rock and an amazing view of Ahatta beach...

Winsla was prepared in 2009 by Dietel Handshel.
16 years young, she needed a total makeover as the rust got under her skin. Now with new glue-in titanium bolts climbers can enjoy this climb again.

Thanks to @n__szafranska for her amazing work and to @przybyszola for leading her in this process.

Big thanks to @stanislawbarabas for continuous support of bolting and rebolting on Karpathos island.

Many new routes are being opened on Karpathos those days. For the safety, please wear helmet on all times!

New line inside Grotto of Finiki is an open project and up for grabs, but be very careful with the stalactites. They are the weakest part of the rock and the best holds at the same time....

Even a little bit of climbing love can do wonders.

Even a little bit of climbing love can do wonders.

Express was found one month ago on the day when @przybyszola finished her hardest climb in the great roof of Grotto de Finiki. The line is called after that little beast.

Rescuing this little fella was the best decision ever. We ❤ him very, very much...

Go back in photos to see his one month journey in revers.
