Kastello when compared to Adia or Yvonne, is not very impressive. However, it offers a lot of easy, short climbing routes. It is an ideal place for families and beginners. Anyway, with this idea it was created by windsurfers from the nearby ION CLUB Karpathos. If you have ever been looking for a windsurfing area check out this spot. Near the sectors there is a pleasant beach called Diakoftis. There is also a tavern opened in the season.
In this area there is also a small pearl named Cave. The sector with nice, difficult routes in a considerable overhang. With the most difficult routes in the Island.

Kastello area is located on the characteristic pennisula on the opposite side of the airport. To get there, you should go round it from the north. When you drive from the airport, turn left towards Arkassa. After 100m, turn left again (signs for Agriolopotamos). Follow a poor dirt road along the airport fence and then turn right towards the visible hill which the of the area comes from. Continue on, passing the exit to the beach and the old fence with the gate. Now You can choose one of two parking lots. The choice depends on where you want to start climbing.
