lt is the second largest (while Adia is the first) climbing area on Karpathos. Here, crags are scattered around on quite a large space, buc their quality and potential are enormous. It seams that Yvonne will become the biggest area on the island in the future. lt is possible to develop hundreds of new climbing routes here, in various grades. You can find here all kinds of formations, however, Kalymnos climbing style is prevalent which means long routes with slightly overhanging tufas. ln the nearest surrounding there is also a nice, large sandy beach called Apela. When planning climbing in Yvonne, you cannot miss Iwona Gorge. 30 minutes walk to the sector of the same name may scary some climbers, but it is highly recommended and definitely worth the effort due to :he stunning nature peculiarities. In the vicinity of the charming (but little) Vasili’s Beach, two amazing rock gullies merge, both with uncharted, huge potential to explore. Up to now, a few dozen beautiful routes were bolted out there, but this is just the beginning. The beach creates good opportunities for deep water solo (DWS) and attracts slackline lovers (about 30m long waterline and 50m highline secured with bolts).

Driving from Aperi towards Spoa – after about 8 km – you will find a marked exit on the right towards the Apela beach. All parking lots are located in the vicinity of this junction.
For other sectors, pass Apela crossing and continue for 1.5 km. Pass a small water supply building (you can get water here). 500m behind it, beyond the bend to the right you will see Buczek sector on the left (1.1). Park on the left side of the road next to the approach path and wooden signposts (P3 GPS: 35 ° 36’20 „N 27 ° 08’45” E).
